Asbury College offers Governor's Scholars who graduated from KY high schools scholarships of at least 15% tuition. Students meeting other criteria may receive larger scholarships based on GPA, ACT/SAT, and class rank. Students must meet two of three criteria in each level of award. Level II awards are valued at 20% tuition (3.5 GPA, 27 ACT or 1200 SAT, top 10% of graduating class). Level III awards are valued at 25% tuition (3.70 GPA, 29 ACT or 1280 SAT, top 5% of graduating class). Level IV awards are valued at 35% tuition (3.90 GPA, 30 ACT or 1320 SAT, top 2% of graduating class). Recipients of Level IV scholarships will be invited to campus in February to compete for two full-tuition scholarships and sixteen half-tuition scholarships. Scholarship recipients must meet a GPA requirement to keep their scholarship.

Bellarmine University, beginning with the Fall 2005 class, offers a Governor’s Scholars Scholarship of $1000 per year to admitted incoming freshmen who have completed the Governor’s Scholars Program (GSP). This $1000 per year scholarship is renewable and is offered in addition to any other institutional academic scholarship or merit award the student may otherwise receive. The Governor’s Scholars Scholarship award is only available for full-time enrollment during the fall and spring semester.

Berea College offers a renewable full-tuition scholarship ($21,000 per year) for each Governor’s Scholar. There is no minimum GPA required.

Campbellsville University offers five full-tuition scholarships to students who participated in the Governor's Scholars Program. Students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5 and 25 ACT/1140 SAT. The scholarship is renewable with a required GPA 2.8.

Centre College offers a minimum scholarship in the amount of $6,000 to Governor's Scholars who have been admitted to Centre College and who meet specific criteria. A scholar must be ranked in the top ten percent of his or her high school class or, if the school does not rank, have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Scholars must also score an ACT composite of 27 or higher or a combined SAT verbal and math score of 1210 or higher. Many scholars will qualify for higher awards. If a student wins a larger scholarship from Centre, this award does not "stack" -- it is superseded by the higher award.

Cumberland College offers a half-tuition scholarship to all Governor's Scholars with a cumulative high school GPA of 3.4 and an ACT composite of 24 or above. If the student qualifies for a scholarship larger than half-tuition, the Governor's Scholar Scholarship would then amount to an additional $500 to that scholarship.

Eastern Kentucky University gives a renewable full-tuition scholarship to all Governors’ Scholars with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and an ACT composite of 25 or above. This scholarship is only available to incoming freshmen.

Georgetown College offers a $5,000 Governor's Scholar Scholarship per year, renewable for four years to each incoming freshman completing the Governor's Scholar Program. While Governor's Scholar Scholarships can not be combined with other academic awards, Scholars with higher GPA's and ACT may qualify for other academic scholarships worth more than $5000 per year.

Kentucky Christian College offers a $5000 Presidential Scholarship (renewable) to Governor's Scholars who have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and an ACT composite of 28 or above. This scholarship is available to incoming freshmen.

Kentucky State University offers a full Presidential Scholarship to all Governor’s Scholars with a minimum ACT score of 26 (or 25 on a previous edition of the ACT or SAT equivalent) and a minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). The award covers full tuition, room, board, books and fees.

Kentucky Wesleyan College guarantees a $6,000 scholarship per academic year to Governor's Scholars. If your academic profile makes you eligible for a higher academic scholarship, you will receive the greater award.

Lindsey Wilson College offers up to full-tuition, renewable scholarships to students with an ACT composite score of 24 or above. Students with a 23 or less receive up to one-half tuition. The students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and must be a first-time, full-time freshman. Scholarship renewal requires a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 and completion of a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year.

Midway College offers a Presidential Scholarship of $5,000 per year, renewable to students maintaining a GPA of 2.5.

Morehead State University offers full tuition and housing to Kentucky Governor’s Scholars with an ACT composite score of 23 or above. To renew the scholarships, students must maintain a 3.25 GPA, be enrolled as a full-time student and reside on campus. This scholarship is available to incoming freshmen and also students transferring from other institutions.

Murray State University offers the $4,000.00 John W. Carr scholarship to Kentucky Governor’s Scholars with an ACT composite of 28 or higher and either a cumulative grade point average of 3.75 or rank in the top 10% of their senior class. This award is renewable for eight semesters or until graduation and requires that a scholarship application be on file by February 1 with mandatory attendance at the Presidential Scholars Interview Day. All other Kentucky Governor’s Scholars are offered a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 per year, renewable for eight semesters or until graduation and requires that a scholarship application be on file by February 1. Students must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 and be a full-time student. This scholarship is only available to incoming freshmen.

Northern Kentucky University awards scholarships to Governor’s Scholars with an ACT Composite score of 24 or higher, or SAT score of 1090 or higher. Scholarships are renewable for one academic year with maintenance of cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and completion of 24 credit hours during the prior academic year. After completion of 24 credit hours the scholarship is renewable for two academic years with maintenance of cumulative GPA of 3.25 and completion of 24 credit hours during prior academic year. This scholarship is only available to incoming freshmen.

Thomas More College awards $5,000 per year (valued at $20,000 over four years) to an unlimited number of Governor's Scholars. This award is offered in addition to any other institutional scholarships the students may otherwise receive.

Transylvania University offers a minimum of $6,000.00 per year for four years to an unlimited number of scholars. This scholarship is only available to incoming freshmen.

Union College offers four full tuition scholarships for Governor’s Scholars.

University of Kentucky offers two tiers of GSP Awards. Tier 1 - A Presidential Scholarship, which covers the cost of instate tuition for up to four years of undergraduate study will be offered to incoming freshmen GSP alumni with a 3.30 GPA and a 28 ACT or 1240 SAT (M+CR), as calculated by the Office of Academic Scholarships. Tier 2 - A Provost Scholarship, which provides $1500 a year for up to four years of undergraduate studies, will be offered to all other incoming freshmen GSP alumni.

University of Louisville offers the Governor's Scholars Award, which is part of the Trustees' Scholarship program for incoming freshmen. Students are eligible to receive only one scholarship from the Trustees' Scholarship Program. Students must have completed the Governor's Scholars Program and must be a Kentucky high school graduate. All required documents for admission must be submitted by scholarship deadline of January 15. This scholarship program is for entering college freshmen only. Scholarship award based on the following criteria: 27ACT/1210 SAT and high school cumulative GPA of 3.35 are awarded a full-tuition, renewable 24ACT/10190SAT and high school cumulative GPA of 3.35 are awarded $2,000, renewable. Students are automatically considered for the Provost's Hallmark Award. Scholars are required o apply for admission online.

Western Kentucky University offers a four-year tuition scholarship to Governor's Scholars with an ACT composite of 25 AND a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Governor's Scholars not meeting those requirements, but having at least an ACT composite of 21 AND a 3.0 cumulative grade point average are offered a renewable scholarship of $1,500 per year. Scholarship renewal requires a cumulative college GPA of at least a 3.0. The Governor's Scholar Scholarships cannot be awarded if the student receives a larger academic scholarship from WKU and are only available to incoming freshmen.

*The Governor’s Scholars Program is not a scholarship program, and therefore does not offer scholarships. The above scholarship opportunities are offered by Kentucky colleges and universities to students who have completed the Governor’s Scholars Program.
